Senior Executive/Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – mVAS
Job Context
We are looking for a Senior Executive or Assistant Manager to drive business growth in the Value-Added Services (VAS) sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in SMS, IVR, USSD, WAP, OTT, and digital content monetization while maintaining strategic partnerships with telecom operators, content providers, and media companies. This role requires a deep understanding of VAS solutions, market trends, and regulatory compliance with BTRC guidelines. The candidate must possess strong business development skills, a proactive approach to client acquisition, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize service performance and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the VAS sector, focusing on SMS, IVR, USSD, WAP, OTT, and digital content monetization.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with telecom operators, content providers, and TV media companies to enhance service offerings.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to develop innovative VAS solutions.
- New clients/partner acquisition for existing and new business to ensure the target.
- Work closely with telecom operators to negotiate revenue-sharing models and drive subscription-based services.
- Build and maintain relationships with telecom operators to ensure smooth business operations.
- Collaborate with TV channels, digital platforms, and media agencies to acquire premium content for VAS services.
- Manage ongoing VAS partnerships, ensuring service quality, engagement, and revenue optimization.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal, and marketing) to execute partnership agreements effectively.
- Ensure all VAS services comply with BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) guidelines.
- Prepare and submit necessary license applications, revenue reports, and compliance documents as per regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on BTRC’s evolving policies and advise management on necessary business adjustments.
- Work closely with technical and product teams to develop and launch new VAS products that align with industry trends.
- Propose and implement marketing campaigns in collaboration with telecom operators to drive customer engagement.
- Monitor the performance of VAS services, identifying areas for improvement and revenue enhancement.
KSAOs that You Will Require to Succeed in this Role
- Good understanding of the Information Technology industry Enterprise Solution Market and should have experience dealing with clients in the corporate sector.
- Ability to build long-term business relationships and negotiate revenue-sharing agreements.
- Proficiency in analyzing revenue reports, market trends, and partnership performance metrics.
- Experience in handling multiple business initiatives and partner engagements simultaneously.
- Preferred Knowledge: Experience in working with VAS aggregators and international content providers. Short-code management (Approval, Integration and Renewal). Familiarity with revenue-sharing models in news media, OTT, and telecom industries.
Education and Experience Requirements
- At least 2-6 years of working experience within Business Development, VAS, telecom operations, or TV-News media partnerships.
- Strong understanding of telecom VAS, mobile content services, TV-news media business models, and BTRC regulations
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): ICT Solutions, Enterprise Solutions, Digital Solutions, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecom Engineering, CSE, or a related field (MBA is preferred).
