The Quality Assurance performs the testing of software components to identify the efficacy of the applicable standards and customer needs so that he can assure the quality according to projects/product requirement.
What You Will Do
- Software Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software applications. Their primary goal is to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through automated testing processes.
- Collaborate with the testing team and developers to understand software requirements, features, and functionalities.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools using appropriate programming languages and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).
- Implement and integrate test automation scripts into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to identify suitable areas for automation.
- Contribute to the creation of test plans, test cases, and test data for automated testing.
- Execute automated test scripts to perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Analyze test results and generate detailed reports, including identifying defects, logging issues, and tracking them to resolution.
- Work closely with the development team to communicate and reproduce identified issues.
- Regularly update and maintain existing automated test scripts to accommodate software features, requirements, or design changes.
- Enhance automation frameworks and scripts to improve the efficiency, coverage, and accuracy of automated tests.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in test automation tools and technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and automation strategy within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, and project managers, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient release cycles.
- Clearly communicate test results, progress, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on test automation-related issues and best practices.
